Kerala Flood 2018: A shadow of what remains quiet
Who knew that this Kerala flood will drive away all the happiness, hard
work, everyone's hope, sorrows, future and their life. Shouldn’t we all take a
time to say something we want to speak to others, whether its unbearable for
them or something joyful to cherish. I think everything remains silenced to the
people who have undergone from the destructive incident happened in Kerala
recently, because of high waters that have killed hundreds of people and
displaced more than a million others start to recede. While some people in
India's flood-ravaged state of Kerala are still facing a "great struggle
to rebuild their lives".
While imagining the sort of situations that people are facing, I felt so
deep-rooted, its' very difficult to speculate about the kid who has gone to the
school and his parents didn't know about his or her coming back. It's hard to
believe about the couple who were planning for their better future is going to
end so easily, difficult to think about that farmer who has done every hard work
just for small earnings and to make his family satisfied, also, a newborn baby
who hasn't come outside yet is going to face this action of almighty. These
things no one can imagine & no one wants to be.
Hereby making myself pessimistic, I think about the devastating situation and just wanted to feel the pain and assume what detrimental situations can happen in our life without any planning. So I felt so scared and wretched that how the life can become so unfair and totally unpredictable to us. But unfortunately it’s a fact. At the end of this phrase I advise to all my readers to accept whatever the God or destiny has planned for you!
Let’s take a look at
some facts
Kerala Flood: God's Own Country
Kerala has a unique geography. It has a very large expanse of low lying areas. About 10 per cent of its geographical area is below the sea level. People have built their homes and business establishments in these regions, which are not suitable for such settlements. Most of the regions overwhelmed by the recent flood. Also it has been called as India's worst flood in nearly 100years
When Mosque Offered
Shelter To Hindu Families After Kerala Floods
Kerala floods might have destroyed hundreds and displaced lakhs of people but they have also worn away caste boundaries and discrimination. A mosque in the flood-ravaged state opened its doors to provide shelter to Hindus, who were stuck in floods.
Yes! No religion matters if anyone is on their life’s edge, we all
should stand up and help people who are trapped. This is really appreciated that how the mosque
in Kerala's Malappuram district has provided shelter and food to several Hindu
families displaced by the massive floods, while groups of Muslim men have
assisted in cleaning two Hindu temples affected by the deluge.
The victims were given space to sleep, proper food from the canteen consisting of rice, pulses and other essential materials. Many families later returned home because water had receded from their homes.
Humanity Triumphs Over
Flood In Kerala:
Several
parts of Kerala are reeling under flash floods this monsoon which has claimed
39 lives and over 35,000 people have been placed in 200 shelter camps. For
making victims relief various businessmen and individuals have donated monetary
funds to support the relief work in Kerala including NRI businessman, cricketers,
ministers &,celebrities including renowned actors who has urged people to
donate funds and to participate in the #KeralaFloodRelief Challenge.
Thanks to our Soldiers:
Rescue workers and members of India’s armed forces have been deployed across the state with fleets of ships and aircraft brought in to save the thousands of people still stranded, many sheltering on their roofs signalling to helicopters for help. We are thankful to our Indian Army for making us safe every second.
